Contract Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is seeking proposals to construct a new Air Traffic Control Tower and demolish the existing tower at Ft. Riley, Kansas. The contractor will build a ten-story tower containing a control cab, offices, conference and break rooms, electrical and mechanical rooms, and a radar simulator room, alongside performing utility and site work. This design-bid-build project requires concrete foundation systems, steel framing, fire detection and suppression systems, backup electrical generation, an elevator, and subsequent demolition of the old tower. Technical evaluation will use a single-phase best value trade-off source selection, and the successful offeror may be required to submit a Project Labor Agreement post-award. Proposals are being accepted for this unrestricted, firm-fixed-price contract with an estimated magnitude between $20,000,000 and $40,000,000, and inquiries can be directed to primary contact Dale Coleman at dale.e.coleman@usace.army.mil.
