The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing a presolicitation notice for an Architect-Engineering (A-E) contract to design the renovation of approximately 20 medication rooms (2,000 sq ft) at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. This project is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The A-E will provide design services, including site investigation, MEP and structural seismic evaluations, and flow/occupant studies, with submissions at 35%, 65%, 95%, and final bid stages. The design must adhere to VA technical library, NEC, NFPA, IBC, and VA Information Security Handbook standards. Proposals, in the form of SF-330s, will be evaluated on specialized experience (including with Omnicell systems and hospital phasing), professional qualifications, capacity, past performance, knowledge of the local area, commitment to small business subcontracting, and experience in construction period services. Submissions are due by October 10, 2025, to Elia-Laritza.Ruiz-Manzo@va.gov. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.
