Sole Source Intent for ORTEC HPGe

AMIC Det 2 OL/PKA Contracting Squadron, Patrick SFB, FL, intends to award a single-source purchase order to AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc. This award, authorized by FAR 6.103-1, is for ORTEC High-Purity Germanium (HPGe) Gamma-Ray Detector equipment and related software and support services, including a GMX50-83-XLB-C detector, DSPEC pro Digital Spectrometer, and GammaVision Software. The Air Force Technical Applications Center will utilize this equipment. AMETEK is the sole provider as the creator, owner, licensor, and copyright holder of ORTEC products, with no authorized U.S. resellers. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may submit their capabilities by 11:00 A.M. EST, April 7, 2026, to sean.moore.24@us.af.mil and ian.batchelor.1@us.af.mil. The government will consider responses to determine if a competitive procurement is feasible, but the decision remains at their discretion. Phone calls will not be accepted.
