N00164-23-Q-0078 – SOLE SOURCE – INSTRON SERVICE AGREEMENT – FSG J020 - NAICS 811210 ISSUE DATE 25 JAN 2023 – CLOSING DATE 1 FEB 2023 – 4:00 PM Eastern Time Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for a three (3) year service agreement for calibration and preventative maintenance of two (2) Instron material test systems. The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Illinois Tool Works Inc. dba Instron 825 University Ave Norwood, MA 02062, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This is being sole sourced because Instron is the original equipment manufacturer of the material test systems and does not have authorized distributors. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
