The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, is soliciting proposals for a thru-hull connector penetrator assembly to support critical shipboard systems. The contractor must manufacture and deliver a single-connector-type hull penetrator assembly, which has been designated as special emphasis material requiring stringent quality control and material traceability. Key requirements include conducting destructive government first article testing on a delivered sample unit at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, performing quantitative chemical and mechanical analyses, and adhering to strict non-destructive testing and welding standards. Final delivery of the production material must be completed within 365 days after the contract's effective date, and certification data must be submitted through Wide Area Workflow 20 days prior to delivery.
