Dilatometer System, High-Precision

The government requires a fully automated, high-precision horizontal differential dilatometer system for measuring dimensional changes in materials across a wide temperature range and controlled atmospheres. The Request for Proposal (RFP) outlines technical specifications for the primary instrument, gas supply, and vacuum unit, including a temperature range of ambient to 1100°C, operation in air, vacuum, or inert gas, and a resolution of 10 nm/0.05°C. The system must include integrated software for operation and data analysis, capable of determining various material properties such as linear thermal expansion and softening points. The contractor is responsible for providing all hardware, software, accessories, shipping, on-site installation by an OEM-certified engineer, and training for up to six individuals. A comprehensive post-warranty maintenance support plan is required, including annual preventative maintenance, technical support, repair coverage, and discounted consumables. Delivery of all components must occur within 90 days of award, with installation and training coordinated thereafter. Pricing must include all shipping costs, and invoices are to be submitted via Wide Area Workflow. A minimum one-year warranty and instrument certification (IQ/OQ) with NIST Traceable ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 certificates are also mandatory.
