The National Institutes of Health, on behalf of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, is seeking to acquire a Constant Systems CF1 Cell Disruptor and associated components on a brand-name-or-equal basis. The required equipment will replace an existing 16-year-old system to support recombinant protein production and structural biology workflows for the Nucleolar Integrity Group in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Key technical specifications include a processing capacity of up to 6 liters per hour, digitally adjustable disruption pressure up to 40 ksi, an integrated sample cooling jacket, and compatibility with existing laboratory accessories. Award will be made on a lowest-price-technically-acceptable basis, with the government reserving the option to select a higher-priced quote if the technical merit warrants a premium.
