DLA SAPD/ZAA is seeking capability packages from manufacturers with high demand from the Department of War and its branches on class IX commercial items. This sources sought synopsis is strategic published for market research purposes only, to identify potential sources to develop commercial price list contracts to support all the military branches. The Government is seeking capability packages from all potential sources, included but not limited to small business (SB), 8(a) participants, HUBZone Small Business, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments.

REQUIREMENT:

The Government is performing market research to identify potential interested sources to fill its commercial price list pipeline.  DLA’s commercial price list contracts attempt to mirror the commercial marketplace standards with a FAR 12 commercial long-term requirements type contract. The purpose and intent of the commercial price list is to provide full coverage for all commercial parts that are considered ‘sole source’ to the interested firm.

Responses to the following questions:

1. Does your firm prefer to deal with its existing dealer/distributor base or does your firm prefer to deal directly with the Government?
2. Does your firm have an online portal it uses for its current dealer/wholesale/distributors with all available items and pricing information?  If pursued, could DLA gain access to this portal?
3. Can your firm deliver the majority of items listed within its commercial price list in 7-14 days (CONUS only).
4. Can your firm deliver items with Mil-Spec packaging?

All interested vendors shall submit a response to the Primary Point of Contact listed below. If the supporting documentation exceeds 10MB, please email the listed Primary Point of Contact and request a DoD SAFE Drop-Off request.  As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation (Request for Proposal) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a proposal shall be solely within the Government's discretion.
