The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service is seeking a contractor to provide Dry Bean Winter Nursery services to support the Sugar Beet and Bean Research Unit based in East Lansing, Michigan. The contractor will be responsible for receiving 500 to 800 bean seed samples, preparing the fields, planting and maintaining the open-field crops, and harvesting and shipping the advanced breeding materials back to Michigan. To allow for the evaluation of USDA personnel, the work must be performed in an open-field setting in a warm climate, with Puerto Rico identified as a potential performance location, provided the area is not designated as a "Do Not Travel" region. The procurement is a total small business set-aside evaluated under Lowest Price Technically Acceptable procedures, with a base year running from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, plus four one-year option periods.
