Contract Opportunity Analysis

The Defense Logistics Agency Maritime Norfolk is seeking qualified small business sources to provide a portable grinding and lapping machine on behalf of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The contractor must supply one brand-name EFCO USA TSV-150 portable grinding and lapping machine for safety valves, complete with a machine stand, table, direct-mounting capabilities, and a corresponding set of lapping discs and pastes. All provided materials must be brand new, and the selected equipment must meet precise technical specifications including a pneumatic drive, an operating range of 1/2-inch to 6-inches, and an immersion depth of 14 inches. Delivery is required within six weeks after receipt of order to Portsmouth, Virginia, and the contract will be awarded using the lowest price, technically acceptable source selection process.
