The USDA Forest Service is seeking architectural and engineering services for the design of the Albert Pike Campground in Ouachita National Forest, Arkansas, through a sources sought notice limited to DOI-FWS Arkansas civil AE MATOC holders. The work covers preliminary and final campground design, including topographic surveying, hydrology and hydraulics analysis, geotechnical investigations, and development of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction timelines. The scope includes an asphalt loop road and bridges, campsites with and without utilities, a camp host site, ADA-compliant restrooms, an RV dump station, pedestrian access, a well house, water distribution features, kiosks, signage, lighting, drainage improvements, and demolition of the existing amphitheater, with design work to follow USFS guidelines and applicable codes and to be completed in AutoCAD Civil3D. The notice emphasizes experience in bridges, recreation facilities, planning, and water supply and distribution, as well as the involvement of a licensed Arkansas landscape architect and key personnel such as a principal, project manager, and engineering disciplines relevant to the project. Responses must be emailed as the firm’s latest SF-330 plus a separate supplemental package, and all data must be received by 0700 ET on 26 May 2026.
