Cayuse Vivarium License and Support
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Cayuse Holdings LLC for the provision of Cayuse Vivarium Software, which includes an Access and Service Agreement covering Animal Oversight, Vivarium Operations, and Veterinary Care. This software is uniquely suited to meet the specific needs of the NIEHS, and the procurement is being conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, as outlined in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), which allows for a sole source acquisition when only one responsible source is available. The contract will cover a base period from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with two additional option years available.
