Design and Integration of a Manufacturing Robotics Workcell
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology is seeking market research responses for the design and integration of a manufacturing robotics workcell. The work includes designing a realistic industrial workcell, creating a digital twin or simulation, procuring and testing materials at the contractor site, integrating the completed system at NIST, and providing documentation and training. The envisioned workcell must fit within a 12' x 18' footprint, include a conveyor system, at least two and no more than five robotic systems, and a human-machine interface, with installation at NIST headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland; NIST anticipates a one-year period of performance beginning in late 2026 or early 2027. Responses must be emailed to Lauren Roller by 11:00 p.m. ET on June 5, 2025, be no more than six pages, and are for market research only, with no solicitation currently available.
