Notice of Intent to Sole Source- Palfinger Crane
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Program Executive Officer Land Systems at Marine Corps Base Quantico, under the Department of the Navy, intends to enter sole source negotiations with Palfinger USA, LLC to support procurement for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle Recovery mission role variant. The effort covers 36 Model #PSC 14209 Service Cranes for the ACV family of vehicles, specifically to support ACV-R production quantities. The cranes must meet strict operational requirements, including lifting at least 6,400 pounds to more than 16 feet while positioned 12.5 feet from the vehicle side without a stabilizing outrigger, and they must be commercially available, suitable for maritime environments, and immediately usable without additional modification or development. This is an informational special notice rather than a request for competitive proposals, and interested parties may submit a capability statement within seven calendar days of publication to latoya.sawyers.civ@usmc.mil and benjamin.hunsberger@usmc.mil, with award estimated for the end of Fiscal Year 2026.
