Turbomolecular Vacuum Pumps
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Institute of Standards and Technology is procuring six turbomolecular vacuum pumps to replace existing components in the ultra-high vacuum systems of large-geometry secondary ion mass spectrometers. The contractor must provide two 67 L/s pumps, two 260 L/s pumps, and two 685 L/s pumps, along with power cables, air cooling systems, and digital operations manuals. All units must feature integrated controllers with RS-485 serial communication ports compatible with the Pfeiffer Vacuum Protocol and install directly into existing vacuum housings without modification. Deliverables must be received at the Gaithersburg, Maryland facility within 20 weeks of award, and final acceptance is contingent on visual inspection and specification testing by a agency subject matter expert.
