The Department of Health and Human Services, specifically the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is seeking quotes for the procurement of two complete benchtop microbial bioreactor systems. These systems are intended for use by the Office of Pharmaceutical Quality Research (OPQR) to cultivate Escherichia coli and assess the effects of cell extract preparation on the quality of human therapeutic proteins during cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS). The bioreactor systems must feature automated control and monitoring capabilities for various parameters, including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, foam levels, and turbidity, with a working volume of 10 liters for high-density E. coli culture.
