CNC 5-Axis Gantry Mill

Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) is requesting proposals for the purchase and installation of a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) 5 Axis Gantry Mill. This RFP outlines minimum requirements for the gantry mill, including its capabilities (5-axis simultaneous machining), installation as a turnkey project, and adherence to OEM specifications. The contractor will be responsible for architectural, engineering, construction, and installation services, including foundation work. Key contractor responsibilities include providing a proven post-processor for MasterCam, a project schedule, certified utility requirements, field verification, foundation design and installation, utility installation, and disposal of materials. The gantry mill must have specific features like an 80-tool magazine, Renishaw probes, chip conveyors, and a FANUC control system compatible with MasterCam. Strict security, safety, and environmental compliance, including AT Level I, iWATCH, OPSEC, and TARP training, OSHA standards, and hazardous waste management, are mandated. Information technology requirements cover OS specifications (Windows 10, Server 2012R2, or Red Hat Linux v6.X), DISA STIGs, Army Golden Master compatibility, and specific software licensing and access controls. Final acceptance is contingent on 100 hours of continuous operation without breakdown or 14 days, whichever comes first.
