Okuma Machine Tools Maintenance and Repair

This document details the scope of work and technical specifications for a five-year federal contract to provide preventive maintenance, annual alignments, and emergency repairs for government-owned Okuma machine tools. Located across multiple buildings at the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), the equipment requires servicing by certified, highly trained contractor personnel in accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) procedures. The contractor must provide a 24-hour response time for technical support requests and have a technician on-site within 72 hours for emergency repairs. All emergency work must restore the machinery to 100% performance using new OEM or certified equivalent parts. Annual inspections and alignments require 30 days' advance notice from the government, during which the contractor will perform precision measurements, level work surfaces, inspect coolant tanks, and provide updated software/parameter changes on a CD along with a detailed machine inspection report. The principal period of maintenance is defined as weekday day shifts, excluding alternating Fridays when the depot shops are closed. Travel expenses are directly chargeable based on actual costs, while recurrent repairs within 48 hours and technician wait times are non-chargeable. The government will provide adequate workspace, storage, and continuous supervision during services. Finally, all contractor personnel must undergo background checks and comply with local military installation security and access control policies.
