INDUSTRY DAY NOTICE for New York Terminal Radar Approach Control Facility (N90)

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified General Contractors for the Modernization of the New York Terminal Radar Approach Control Facility (N90) through a Design-Bid-Build approach. This project, estimated between $35-$45 million with a completion target of March 2030, involves extensive interior and exterior work. Interior modernizations include the 7,500 SF N90 Operations Room, elevator refurbishment, bathroom renovations, floor plan re-arrangements, and fire alarm upgrades. Exterior work involves replacing trailers with a new building, expanding the wellness center, and adding covered walkways and paved areas. Contractors must have financial capability, relevant past performance ($35M+ in 24/7 facilities), and experienced key personnel. The FAA will conduct virtual one-on-one industry days on June 8 or June 22, 2026, to gather feedback on contract types, project challenges, critical facility experience, design flexibility, cost-effective configurations, risks, statement of work improvements, solicitation enhancements, schedule negotiations, interest levels, Project Labor Agreements, and subcontracting/small business participation.
