BONNET ASSEMBLY

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting proposals for a bonnet assembly to be used in a critical shipboard system. The contractor must manufacture and deliver the bonnet assembly, consisting of components such as a yoke bushing, gland eye bolts, groove pins, identification plate, drive screws, and the bonnet itself, in strict accordance with NAVSHIPS drawing 803-2177525. Because this item is designated as special emphasis material, strict quality assurance, heat treatment, thread inspection, and non-destructive testing certifications are required. Final delivery of the material must be completed within 365 days of the contract's effective date, and certification data must be submitted electronically through the Wide Area Work Flow system prior to shipment.
