Upgrade for LUMICKS C-trap to 3 color confocal instrument
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Institutes of Health intends to award a non-competitive, sole-source contract to LUMICKS USA Inc. to upgrade an existing C-trap system at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Durham, North Carolina. The contractor will upgrade the current two-color system to a three-color confocal fluorescence instrument, which requires the field installation of a third 488nm laser, validation of performance and system compatibility, and warranty coverage through February 15, 2029. This simplified acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures and is not expected to exceed a value of $350,000. Although the agency intends to proceed on a sole-source basis, interested parties may submit capability statements, technical proposals, and price quotes to Contract Specialist Luz Casey at Luz.Casey@nih.gov by September 15, 2026, at 9:00 AM Eastern Time.
