F-35 Flexible Linear Shape Charge (inert)
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Defense, through the Naval Air Systems Command, is seeking industry input for the procurement of 120 inert Flexible Linear Shape Charges (FLSC) to support the F-35 training program. The FLSC, specifically the SILICONE 12 IE-Y250012 model, is intended for training purposes and must be manufactured to strict specifications, including permanent markings to indicate they are inert and not for use in aircraft. This procurement is crucial for maintaining safety and operational readiness within the F-35 program, with an estimated Request for Proposal release in June 2025 and contract award anticipated by September 2025. Interested vendors should submit their capability statements by June 4, 2025, to Nicholas North at nicholas.north@jsf.mil or Jeffery Patrick at jeffery.patrick@jsf.mil.
