48--VALVE,STOP-CHECK

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting bids for a stop-check globe in-line valve to support national defense under a DO-rated order. The contractor must manufacture the complete valve assembly in accordance with NAVSHIPS Drawing 803-2177934 and supply critical components constructed from certified materials, including hot forged copper-nickel alloys. Because these components are designated as special emphasis materials for crucial shipboard systems, the procurement requires strict objective quality evidence, a certified quality system, and contractor-conducted non-destructive first article testing on one unit. Offers will be evaluated using past performance, and the resulting contract will carry a total small business set-aside with a one-year warranty on delivered supplies.
