The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity plans a sole-source award to Thermo Fisher Scientific to assemble, assess, maintain, and support a Government-owned Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System for Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and AFRIMS. The work is intended to bring a used Government-owned liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer system, including the liquid chromatography pump and mass spectrometer, to full operational capability and includes installation, diagnostic testing, calibration, repairs if needed, and a new controlling computer with operating software. Thermo Fisher is identified as the sole original equipment manufacturer, and the effort is to be performed in Maryland during the stated period of performance from June 30, 2026, to July 29, 2026. This is an informational special notice, and eligible sources must respond in writing within 15 days if they can provide comparable services that are more advantageous to the Government.
