The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, has issued a solicitation for a Level I Repair staunching plate assembly. The work requires inspecting, refurbishing, and testing the staunching plate assembly in accordance with Kollmorgen drawings, as well as replacing non-useable parts and ensuring material traceability. Because this special emphasis material is utilized in a crucial shipboard system, the contractor must maintain strict configuration controls, perform chemical and mechanical analyses, and conduct hydrostatic pressure and intergranular corrosion testing.
