Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Air Force’s Air Force Reserve Command, through the 439th Contracting Flight at Westover Air Reserve Base, is seeking to procure one DEXA DE-2020 autonomous aircraft system to support autonomous delivery, airborne surveillance, and counter-sUAS testing and validation. The work includes delivery of the aircraft system, two days of onsite training for government personnel, and a one-year maintenance plan with preventive maintenance, inspections, software and firmware updates, component replacement, and configuration management. The required UAS is a Group 2 multi-rotor aircraft with carbon fiber or equivalent construction, 4 or 6 brushless motors, a Pixhawk Blue Cube or better autopilot, 20-25 pound weight, 5-pound payload capacity, at least 45 minutes of battery life, at least 4 miles of range, and FAA Section 44807 approval and Part 135 certification, with performance at Westover Air Reserve Base in Massachusetts. This is a sole-source requirement with an estimated value of $24,999 and a performance period from June 1 to July 31, 2026; interested parties may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to Robert E.
