The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, is seeking contractors to manufacture and deliver continuous-thread studs to be utilized in crucial shipboard systems. Vendors must furnish chamfered, continuous-thread Type IV studs constructed from solution-annealed and age-hardened K-Monel Grade 500 material in accordance with MIL-DTL-1222 standards. Because these parts are designated as special emphasis level-one material, the contractor is required to implement rigorous quality control systems under ISO-9001 and perform liquid penetrant and chemical testing with strict traceability records. Delivery of certification data is required 20 days prior to shipment, and final material delivery must occur on or before 365 days after the contract effective date.
