Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, is conducting a sources sought market research notice for a future contract to support the New Orleans to Venice, NOV-10A West Bank Mississippi River Levee project in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. The work calls for levee enlargement along about 9.3 miles of the NOV-10A reach, including raising the levee to the authorized design grade, adding waterside wave berms and landside stability berms or ground improvement, and potentially performing riprap placement, roadway and slope paving replacement, and grouted riprap installation. The project is intended to raise the levee to the 2-percent, 50-year level of risk reduction crown elevation, may require contractor-furnished borrow material depending on a borrow analysis, and is expected to be a competitive firm-fixed-price construction effort.
