Description

The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Navy, is seeking a combined synopsis/solicitation for the procurement of a NFPC SU10 spindle motor rebuild. The Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) is responsible for the design, manufacture, and repair of propellers for the US Navy. NFPC utilizes various profiling machines in its operations, and unfortunately, the spindle motor of the SU10 profiling machine has malfunctioned. The scope of this work entails the vendor's responsibility to perform a comprehensive restoration on an Allen Bradley motor, specifically the 8720SM075S6SAS3 model. The rebuild shall return the motor to its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operating specifications for the associated machine. This requirement is sole sourced to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Kendell Electric.
