The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to extend its sole source bridge contract with United Federal Facility Services, LLC (UFFS) for custodial support at its Research Triangle Park (RTP) and Chapel Hill, NC facilities. This extension, lasting a minimum of two months with the potential for up to four months, is necessary due to delays in awarding a new long-term contract caused by protests and scope changes. The custodial services provided are critical for maintaining sanitary conditions and ensuring the health and safety of over 2,000 employees across 1.2 million square feet of facilities, particularly at the mission-critical RTP labs. Interested parties capable of meeting the EPA's requirements may submit a capability statement or proposal by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on March 27, 2025, to the Contracting Officer, Greg Forrest, at forrest.gregory@epa.gov.
