SHUTTLE ASSEMBLY

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Philadelphia is soliciting proposals for a shuttle assembly to support Foreign Military Sales new spares requirements. Eligible contractors must manufacture, test, and inspect the critical shipboard system components in accordance with NAWC Lakehurst drawings to support aircraft launch and recovery operations. Because these parts are classified as Flight Critical and designated as Aviation Launch and Recovery Equipment Critical Safety Items, only companies with pre-existing engineering source approval from the Naval Air Systems Command are eligible for award. Deliverables include a single uncoated first article sample for government testing, alongside comprehensive inspection, heat-treat, and welding qualification data.
