Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Air Force, 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, intends to award a single-source, firm-fixed-price contract to WHESCO Group Inc. The selected contractor will replace obsolete control panels and install associated logic software for four F-22 ASMLO paint booth systems located in Building 9696. This critical upgrade addresses frequent operational shutdowns caused by outdated, unsupported logic programs that currently disrupt 24/7 maintenance operations. Because the existing control panels and programming are proprietary systems designed and engineered exclusively by WHESCO Group Inc., no other vendors are authorized to perform these services. Although this is not a request for competitive proposals, firms may submit a capability statement of up to five pages to Justin Fultz at Justin.fultz.1@us.af.mil to assist the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for this estimated $79,890.00 project.
