The procurement seeks a distributed, low-power, and low-profile sensor system designed to detect human and vehicle presence without relying on visible cameras. Key technical requirements specify that the self-contained, lightweight sensor nodes (under 350 grams and 325 cubic centimeters) must utilize seismic, magnetic, and passive infrared "break-wire" technologies to detect targets. Additionally, the system must support passive electronic signal detection, edge computing, and robust AES encryption (256-bit at the node, 128-bit during transmission). Operationally, the sensors must feature a battery life exceeding 24 months, automatic GPS self-location, tamper alarms, and rapid 2-minute field deployment via a simple one-button interface. For connectivity and integration, the system must utilize a star topology communicating up to 15 km to a gateway, with Starlink, ZeroTier, and remote IP integration capabilities. It must support an open data message format for native integration into ATAK and common operating pictures, allow third-party equipment integration via Cursor-on-Target, and store at least 300,000 alarms for Pattern of Life (PoL) analytics. Finally, the user interface must be browser-based, compatible with standard Windows devices, require minimal training, and include at least a one-year warranty and technical support.
