Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of the Interior’s Interior Business Center is seeking commercial aviation services for the U.S. Wildland Fire Service to transport personnel, goods, and cargo between the contiguous United States and Alaska, with the contractor’s primary base of operations in Boise, Idaho. The work calls for providing aircraft, pilots, fuel, and maintenance support, with aircraft that are multi-engine turboprop or turbojet, IFR/VFR certified for day and night operations in known icing, and able to seat at least 50 passengers and cargo. The requirement is being competed on a full and open basis and emphasizes aircraft and personnel qualifications, safety, and compliance with FAA regulations; the anticipated period of performance is 60 days from June 29, 2026 through August 28, 2026, with a 30-day extension option, and funding is expected to determine whether the award is for On-Call or Exclusive Use services.
