Notice of Intent to Sole Source Technical Support for Legacy Aircraft Engine

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Armstrong Flight Research Center intends to award a sole-source contract for subject matter expertise and technical services to support legacy aircraft engines. The selected contractor will provide the specialized technical support and maintenance necessary to ensure the continuous operation of these legacy propulsion systems. Because of the proprietary and specialized nature of the work, NASA intends to award this sole-source acquisition under FAR 6.103-1 to Atec, Inc., which possesses the unique technical expertise and experience required for these specific engines. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to Jenni Schnarr at jennifer.schnarr@nasa.gov by September 7, 2026, to assist the government in determining whether a competitive procurement is viable.
