AC/MC-130J Arkham SMP Production

The United States Air Force (USAF) AFLCMC/WIU has issued a Sources Sought Synopsis to conduct market research for the production of the AC/MC-130J Arkham Special Mission Processor (SMP). The government is seeking potential sources capable of manufacturing, assembling, testing, and delivering 94 Arkham SMP Production Kits and 55 Spares over a tentative seven-year period of performance from FY27 through FY34. The Arkham SMP is a Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA) compliant mission processor utilizing LYNXOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It features two major processing areas: a five-module Intel-based general/video processor and a two-module ARM-based Safety Critical Processor operating across multiple security zones (Red/Gold and Black). Each production kit will consist of two Arkham Units, two External Data Storage devices, two 1TB Delkin Solid State Drives, and installation hardware. While the USAF currently anticipates a sole-source award to DMAero, LLC, this market research aims to identify other qualified businesses, determine competitive or small business set-aside potential, and overcome barriers to competition. Interested large and small businesses must submit a Capability Survey detailing their manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance capabilities (such as AS9100 compliance), as well as their experience with classified data and configuration management. Responses are due by close of business on October 19, 2026.
