Language Interpretation and Translation Services
Contract Opportunity Analysis
NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service, Office of International Affairs, Trade, and Commerce, is conducting market research for a contemplated contract for on-demand language interpretation and translation services. The work includes written translation to and from English in multiple languages, predominantly remote simultaneous interpretation with some consecutive interpretation, plus proofreading, editing, formatting support, project management, quality assurance, and two interpreters per assignment. The requirement is planned as a five-year effort with a 12-month base period and four option periods, with most work performed virtually and only rare in-person events in Alaska that would include separately reimbursed travel; the work will support fisheries management, trade, and related technical and regulatory communications in Silver Spring, Maryland. This is a sources sought notice for acquisition planning and set-aside consideration only, and responses are due by April 13, 2026.
