Type 6 Fire Engines

The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for thirty-three Type 6 fire engines in a body-only configuration. Vendors must perform chassis modifications, prepare the Government-furnished 4X4 cab and chassis, and install the body, fire pump, 300-gallon water tank, warning lights, required graphics, and all operational components. The completed apparatus must comply with Forest Service national standard specifications and meet NFPA 1900 standards unless otherwise specified. Deliverables also include vehicle delivery and on-site familiarization training.
