Amplicon DNA Sequencing

The Department of Commerce, specifically the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is planning to award a sole-source contract for Amplicon DNA Sequencing services valued at $82,000 to Michigan State University Research Technology Support Facility Genomics Core. This contract, scheduled to run from September 30, 2025, to September 29, 2026, aims to support biodiversity and fish abundance estimates for a NOAA project, requiring secondary PCR of 3,923 amplicons, library normalization, and sequencing on MiSeq and NovaSeq SP runs. The unique capabilities of the Michigan State facility, particularly its ability to process DNA with Fluidigm adapters, are critical to ensuring compatibility with existing data and systems, thus maintaining data quality and preventing delays.
