The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking a contractor to conduct a Phase I Archaeological Survey of Tracts 542k and 28 on the Dale Bumpers White River National Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas County, Arkansas. The selected contractor must perform background literature reviews, systematic shovel testing, and follow-up testing to assess potential cultural resources under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act before a proposed land exchange. The work requires delivering a management summary, Arkansas State Site Forms, a curation plan, and a final technical report conforming to the Arkansas Archeological Survey's 2010 guidelines. The anticipated period of performance is from August 3, 2026, through December 31, 2026, and source selection will utilize a trade-off process where technical capability and past performance are significantly more important than price.
