Smokey Bear Wildfire Prevention Outreach Services

The USDA Forest Service, through its Fire & Aviation Management organization, intends to establish a sole-source firm-fixed-price blanket purchase agreement with Friends of Smokey Bear Balloon to support nationwide wildfire prevention education and public outreach. The work centers on official Smokey Bear outreach services using authorized Smokey Bear inflatable imagery for public education events, fairs, festivals, and prevention campaigns, including static and aerial displays, transportation and logistics, maintenance, insurance, fuel, and operational crew support. The requirement emphasizes authorized use of the federally protected Smokey Bear image and the contractor’s ability to operate specialized inflatable assets, including aerial operations up to 3,000 feet AGL, with performance in the United States. Interested sources may submit capability statements demonstrating relevant rights and capabilities within 15 calendar days of publication by email to Amelia Velasco at amelia.velasco@usda.gov, and the government will not reimburse submission costs.
