Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Air Force, specifically the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, is soliciting quotes to rebuild a thermally failed 300hp electric motor supporting the 76th Commodities Maintenance Group. The contractor must perform a one-time, off-base motor reconditioning and a full stator rewind, which includes installing new stator windings with a Class H insulation system, performing vacuum pressure impregnation, and dynamically balancing the rotor. To qualify, vendors must be an EASA AR100 Accredited Service Center located within a 130-mile radius of the base, or submit an acceptable Formal Motor Transport Plan detailing strict vibration mitigation measures.
