The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking potential sources for the procurement of an electrical solenoid under National Stock Number 5945-01-605-5483. The currently approved manufacturer is Valcor Engineering Corporation under CAGE code 96487 and part number V44778-329-2. Because the government does not own the technical data or rights required to manufacture this part, it intends to acquire the item directly from the actual manufacturer. Prospective suppliers wishing to qualify as an approved source must submit a Source Approval Request package demonstrating their technical ability to manufacture the product to the same or better quality than the original equipment manufacturer.
