Z--DOI Udall Pest Exclusion Construction
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of the Interior, on behalf of the Office of Facilities and Administrative Services, has issued a Sources Sought Notice to identify capable vendors for a rodent exclusion construction project and feasibility study at the Udall Building in Washington, DC. The selected contractor will be required to install permanent physical barriers, seal utility penetrations, sanitize contaminated areas, place monitoring devices, and conduct a building-wide assessment to identify structural entry points and provide cost estimates for repairs. To minimize operational disruption, the physical construction work must be performed during designated off-hours and weekends, and the contractor must provide a one-year warranty on all workmanship and materials. Eligible contractors must possess at least five years of documented commercial rodent-exclusion or building-envelope assessment experience, and any personnel applying pesticides must hold a valid District of Columbia pest control license. Capability statements must be emailed to Contracting Officer Nick Lewicki at nicholas_lewicki@ibc.doi.gov by Monday, August 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.
