Hangar Door Plug

The Department of Defense, specifically the United States Air Force at Dover Air Force Base (DAFB), is seeking potential sources for an inflatable hangar door plug system designed for C-17 aircraft. The contractor will be responsible for providing a system that creates an effective thermal and weather seal around the aircraft fuselage, utilizing a corrosion-resistant aluminum rail system for installation that does not interfere with normal hangar door operations. This procurement is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and safety in aircraft maintenance, with the system needing to withstand various environmental conditions and meet specific fire safety standards.
