Bird/UAS Radar Upgrades Synopsis

The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Air Force, is planning a sole-source contract action to procure upgrades and leasing of bird/UAS radar systems from DETECT INC. The procurement includes the immediate upgrade of two existing government-owned bird radar systems currently located at Melrose Air Force Range, as well as the lease of one new radar system to be stationed at Cannon AFB in New Mexico. These radar systems are critical for detecting avian and unmanned aerial threats, and DETECT INC. is uniquely positioned to perform the necessary upgrades and maintenance due to their proprietary technology and existing warranty agreements.
