AN/ALR-56 Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), Low Voltage Power Supplies (LVPS)

This Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Air Force seeks to identify potential sources with the technical expertise, capabilities, and experience to perform depot-level test and repair services for AN/ALR-56M Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) Low Voltage Power Supplies (LVPS). The specific items targeted for repair include five distinct part numbers across various National Stock Numbers (NSNs). The original manufacturer of these power supplies is Crane Electronics, Inc., which is currently identified as the sole source contractor. Because the government does not own the necessary technical data, drawings, or specifications required to compete or organically perform these repairs—and has determined that acquiring the data or reverse engineering the units is uneconomical—no evaluation samples are available. Interested contractors, including small businesses and joint ventures, must demonstrate how they will overcome the lack of proprietary technical data. Respondents must complete a Contractor Capability Survey detailing their business information under NAICS code 811210, general facility capabilities, repair experience, configuration management processes for handling parts obsolescence, commercial pricing, and cybersecurity protocols (including compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012). Responses must be submitted electronically to Kylie Ordoyne and Joshua Robinson no later than the close of business on September 25, 2026. This RFI is strictly for informational planning and budgetary forecasting, and the government will not reimburse participants for any associated costs.
