CNS Organoid Neuropharmacological Analysis
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The FDA’s Office of Acquisition and Grant Services is conducting market research for the National Center for Toxicological Research on CNS Organoid Neuropharmacological Analysis to support patient safety and regulatory review. The work involves characterizing the neuromodulatory effects and transcriptomic changes of a drug in human CNS-3D brain organoids, including the role of the 5-HT5A receptor, and performing lab services such as Ca2+ flux measurements, viability assessments, and RNA sequencing. The effort is structured as a firm fixed price contract with performance at the contractor’s facility in the United States, and the required deliverables include a study design plus acute and chronic drug effect data, 5-HT5A receptor role data, viability data, and transcriptomic data. Capability statements are due May 4, 2026, the period of performance is August 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, and the primary contact is Nick Sartain.
