The Department of Defense, through the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM), is seeking to procure a software configuration change for the Low Probability of Intercept Altimeter (LPIA)/Embedded GPS Inertial (EGI) Navigation System (SCHID) specifically for the CH-53K® aircraft. This procurement aims to correct software versions and will be awarded on a sole source basis to Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, as they are the sole designer and producer of the CH-53K® and possess the necessary technical data and experience to fulfill the requirements. The government does not have adequate license rights to the required technical data package for competitive procurement, making Sikorsky the only viable contractor for this project. Interested parties can reach out to Tyler Scott at tyler.j.scott63.civ@us.navy.mil or Kevin Ritter at kevin.m.ritter4.civ@us.navy.mil for further information, noting that this is not a request for proposals and no funds are available for response preparation.
