FDA Scientific Equipment Maintenance & Repair RFI
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, through its Office of Acquisition and Grant Services, is seeking market research information on OEM maintenance and repair support for scientific and laboratory equipment. The RFI focuses on how manufacturers provide maintenance, repair, calibration, software support, and technical support, particularly for equipment serviced by directly employed technicians versus authorized or third-party providers. It asks about access to parts, diagnostic software, firmware, technical data, training, warranty and post-warranty restrictions, invoicing practices, and other policies that may affect the Government’s ability to use independent service organizations or O&M contractors, with performance associated with Silver Spring, Maryland. Responses should be submitted electronically to Sheneil Green, and the notice requests written answers only, without capability statements, brochures, exhibits, or formal pricing.
